Email Marketing Updates: Have You Complied With the New CAN-SPAM Rules Yet?

Tag: Email MarketingStan Chee @ 1:24 am

In an earlier posting I wrote about some important changes to the CAN-SPAM regulations would soon take effect…

Yes, The Federal Trade Commission’s latest updates to the Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing Act of 2003 (CAN-SPAM) will become enforceable on July 7, 2008. So, it’s prime time to take a closer look at the updates – and at CAN-SPAM in general.

Some Good News:

- CAN-SPAM terminology is now better defined, giving marketers clearer standards – that’s a baby step in the right direction.

- We know exactly who a “sender” is now.

- The FTC kept the 10-day mandatory opt-out requirement in place after mulling cutting it to three days.

- Nothing in CAN-SPAM will get you in legal trouble if you are sending *permission-based* emails.

- The FTC will not designate additional “aggravated violations.” In other words, it won’t go out of its way to engage in witch hunts.

Clayton Makepeace - “The Great Copywriting Conspiracy”

Tag: CopywritingStan Chee @ 3:46 am

My friends Tony Flores and Clayton Makepeace published a controversial 23-page report that shows you – among other things – how Clayton generated $22.3 million for a client in just six short weeks.

You can get a copy of the report Here.

(This was just PART of the $60 million the client made from a 150,000 name list.)

And the crazy thing is, Clayton is NOT an Internet guru.

In fact, he’s a “biker dude” who didn’t even bother messing with PPC, SEO or anything of that stuff.

SO HOW DID HE DO IT?

Well, before you get too excited I should tell you that Clayton didn’t personally make $22.3 million. His cut was 10% — so he “only” made a little over $2 million in those six weeks.

But that’s not what’s causing the controversy.

What’s creating the stir is how “non-technical” this secret is. Almost anyone can start using it
quickly. With just a few simple steps. Continue reading “Clayton Makepeace - “The Great Copywriting Conspiracy” “

Download Day

Today, June 17,2008, is Mozilla’s “Firefox 3 Download Day“!

I pledged and joined Mozilla’s effort to help set a Guinness World Record for the most software downloads in 24 hours.

Please download Firefox 3 by 11:16 a.m. PDT (18:16 UTC) on June 18, 2008. That’s 11:16 a.m. in Mountain View, 2:16 p.m. in Toronto, 3:16 p.m. in Rio de Janeiro, 8:16 p.m. in Paris, Madrid, Berlin, Rome and Warsaw, 10:16 p.m. in Moscow, and June 19, 2008 at 2:16 a.m. in Beijing and 3:16 a.m. in Tokyo.

Firefox 3.0 is simply fantastic! Though I’ve used it for less than a day, I can tell you this - Absolutely the BEST Firefox version I’ve ever seen!

Firefox 3 is based on the Gecko 1.9 Web rendering platform — under development for the past 34 months and this new platform has been through more than 15,000 changes to improve its performance and stability.

The brand new Firefox 3.0:
- More Secured
- Much easier to Use
- Much more personal
- Improved performance and stability

eBay Declares War On Internet Marketers - How You Can Profit From This Move

Tag: eBay Online Marketplace, Internet BusinessStan Chee @ 2:59 am

eBay shocked the internet marketing world when it recently announced that it would no longer allow the sale of digital download products. This move effectively shuts down an income stream for many sellers of eBooks, softwares, and digital videos that relied on the instant download support provided by eBay.

Many sellers of information products see this as a blessing in disguise as they turn to companies like ClickBank which can also provide a huge stream of cash-in-hand buyers along with the ability to provide instant downloads to their customers.

Sellers on ClickBank have known for years that their products on ClickBank sell for more, and their customers are more loyal than eBay customers. This is because customers from Ebay are bargain shoppers and like to buy for pennies on the dollar and will rarely pay fair market value, especially for information products.

By using ClickBank’s massive base of built in affiliates, the top sellers on ClickBank make over a million dollars per year just in ClickBank sales. This far exceeds what anyone on eBay was earning from their digital download auctions.

However, ClickBank does not give us easy access to its 100,000 active affiliates. But there are some quick and easy ways to tap into this sales army with the system used in Scott Stamper’s ClickBank Stampede.

ClickBank Stampede reveals backdoors and loopholes used by top ClickBank sellers. It’s the fastest, easiest and most efficient method of making money with ClickBank.

To learn more visit:
ClickBank Stampede.

So if you were a former information product seller on eBay, don’t agonize. Instead use it as motivation to change your business plan to make even higher profits!

Spencer Johnson sums it up best in his best selling book “Who Moved My Cheese?”:
“That’s life! Life moves on. And so should we?”
